French National Registration

If you simply can't wait and are counting the days until the French National at Dunkerque in May then why not pre-register by simply printing out a pre-inscription form to guarantee your tickets? Surely with this being the closest ever French National and the 2cv's 60th anniversary the Brits will be out in force!

For a copy of the pre-inscription form click here.

Ban 2cv's, are you MAD!!!!

Well that's what the idiots in the EU are trying to do, and it's not just 2cv's they've taken a dislike to, but any vehicle over 10 years old. Just because they're chauffeur driven around in luxury Mercs doesn't mean I can't drive my 2cv! If you agree then please sign the government's on-line petition to encourage Gordon Brown to tell the EU where to stick its stupid opinion! Simply click on this link and follow the instructions.

Fancy something a bit different?

Do you feel your 2cv (lovely as it is) just isn't different enough for your liking? Then why not turn it into one of these? Greg Murrell decided to build a Hot-Rod inspired racer using an old 2cv as a donor car. He's kept the suspension and running gear of the 2cv, but has built it onto a purpose-made chassis and custom fiberglass bodyshell. The car is full of fantastic features, the best being the roof which slides forward on it's mounts and simply rolls down behind the two seats. From hard-top to no-top in seconds, amazing!

Greg recently unveiled his unique 2cv at the Exeter kit-car show in November and the car has created so much interest Greg is considering putting the car into production to sell as a kit conversion for any 2cv. For more info you can contact Greg by clicking here.

Blood rushes to Gonzo's head

After living a life of luxury in a friend's very large garage along with a few other cars, including a very unique home-made 2cv special called the MK2, Gonzo, a 1956 AZU, was suddenly made homeless when the house was sold and a new home had to be found. And this came in the form of a 'single' garage. And how do you get a rusty AZU, a 2cv special and a mountain of spare parts into a single garage? With ingenuity of course! Gonzo's Bodyshell is currently upside down hanging from the rafters, leaving just enough room for the MK2 underneath and shelves of parts lining the walls. Meanwhile the chassis has now been fully repaired, with the addition of reinforcing steel rails hidden inside the old chassis and a new top and bottom skin added. The chassis is now hanging from the rafters in the workshop!
